ANXIETY THERAPY

Anxiety Therapy in Mississauga & Online Across Ontario

Maybe you're constantly thinking ahead, replaying conversations, or preparing for everything that could go wrong. Even when things are going well, it's hard to relax. You've tried to think your way out of it, stay positive, or push through, but the worry keeps coming back.

Therapy can help you understand what's driving your anxiety, work through the patterns keeping it going, and feel more confident handling life's uncertainties.

It's Not Just in Your Head. It's Affecting Your Life.

Anxiety doesn't look the same for everyone. Sometimes it's obvious. Other times, it looks like being responsible, staying busy, planning ahead, or trying to make sure nothing goes wrong.

Understand What's Keeping You Stuck

Anxiety is more than feeling nervous. It can shape the way you interpret situations, make decisions, relate to others, and respond to uncertainty. Therapy can help you recognize these patterns and develop more helpful ways of responding.

Knowing You're Overthinking Doesn't Always Stop You.

You might already know that you're overthinking. You might tell yourself not to worry, try to look at the bright side, or remind yourself that things will probably be fine.

But knowing that your thoughts aren't always helpful doesn't necessarily make them stop.

Sometimes, anxiety becomes a cycle. Something uncertain happens, your mind searches for an answer, and you try to reduce the discomfort by analysing, checking, seeking reassurance, or avoiding the situation. You feel better for a little while, but the worry returns.

Therapy can help you understand the cycle you're caught in, explore the beliefs and fears underneath it, and practise responding in new ways.

Real Talk. Real Change.

My approach is practical and collaborative. We'll work to understand what's happening, why certain patterns keep showing up, and what you can start doing differently.

Honesty

We'll make space for what's actually going on, including the thoughts, fears, and experiences you may find difficult to talk about.

Practicality

We'll identify patterns and work on strategies you can use in everyday life, rather than relying on reassurance or positive thinking alone.

Collaboration

We'll work together to understand your experience and develop an approach that fits your needs and goals.

I use evidence-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and develop new ways of responding to anxiety.

You've Tried to Figure It Out. Let's Understand What's Keeping It Going.

You might have tried reading, self-help strategies, talking to friends, or pushing through. Maybe some things have helped a little, but the anxiety keeps coming back.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand what's underneath your anxiety, and develop new ways of responding, so you can feel more in control and less consumed by worry.
