STUDENT THERAPY

Therapy for College and University Students in Mississauga & Online Across Ontario

Between assignments, exams, work, relationships, and trying to figure out your future, there's a lot to manage. Maybe you're overthinking everything, putting pressure on yourself to succeed, or feeling like you should have things more figured out by now.

You've tried pushing through, getting organized, or telling yourself it'll be fine. But you still feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck. Therapy gives you space to work through what's going on, understand what's keeping you stuck, and figure out how to move forward.

It's More Than Just School Stress.

College, university, and graduate school can bring exciting opportunities, but also pressure, uncertainty, and a lot of change. Sometimes the hardest part isn't one specific problem. It's trying to manage everything at once while figuring out who you are and where you're going.

You Can't Seem to Get Started

You procrastinate, avoid assignments, or struggle to focus, even when you know how important the work is.

You Feel Like You're Falling Behind

You compare yourself to others and wonder why everyone else seems to have things figured out while you're still trying to find your footing.

You don't need to wait until things fall apart to get support. If something is affecting how you feel, function, or relate to others, it's worth taking seriously.

More Than Getting Through the Semester.

School might be what's bringing you to therapy, but the stress you're experiencing can be connected to more than assignments or exams. It can involve expectations, relationships, self-worth, or the pressure to have your future figured out.

Therapy can help you understand what's contributing to these struggles and work toward meaningful changes in your everyday life

Life Transitions and Uncertainty

Work through decisions about your career, graduation, independence, changing goals, and what comes next.

You Don't Have to Figure Everything Out at Once.

When you're under pressure, it can feel like every part of your life needs attention right now. You might worry about falling behind, feel guilty when you're not productive, or put off tasks because you're afraid you won't do them well enough.

That can become a frustrating cycle. The pressure builds, you avoid or delay something, you feel temporary relief, and then the stress comes back even stronger.

Therapy can help you understand what's happening in that cycle, explore the fears and expectations underneath it, and develop more helpful ways of responding.

Real Talk. Real Change.

My approach is practical and collaborative. You don't need to have a clear explanation for everything you're feeling or know exactly what you want to work on. We'll start with what's happening in your life and work together to make sense of it.

Honesty

We'll make space for what's actually going on, including your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. You don't have to have it all figured out to talk about it.

Practicality

We'll identify patterns and work on strategies you can use in everyday life, rather than relying on reassurance or positive thinking alone.

Collaboration

We'll work together to understand your experience and develop an approach that fits your needs and goals.

I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and develop practical ways of responding to what you're experiencing.

It's Okay to Be Unsure.

You don't need to have a specific goal in mind or know exactly what you want out of therapy. Many students come in feeling uncertain, stuck, or just knowing that something doesn't feel right.

Therapy can give you space to explore what's going on, get clearer on what you need, and take the next step at a pace that feels right for you.
